Announced during his election as head of the FRMF, Fouzi Lekjaa is keeping his promise by relocating the next meeting of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation's steering committee to Laâyoune. A first in the annals of the FRMF, which has always held its meetings in Rabat. It is also a highly symbolic gesture as it pays tribute to the Sahara teams that have suffered in recent years from several problems, notably those of transport, to the point of forfeiting during the 2012-2013 season. Thursday's meeting, in which all members of the steering committee will take part, will be devoted to the evaluation of the region's infrastructure, but above all to the signing of a sponsorship contract with the company Addoha.

Under the terms of this sponsorship contract, Addoha will provide sports equipment to the Sahara teams for four years. A boost for the clubs in this region that are facing an acute financial crisis. In addition, the members of the steering committee are also expected to inaugurate the new headquarters of the Sahara league. On the sidelines of this meeting, an exhibition match will be organized. It will pit the 1986 national team against the Sahara team.
