Inauguration of the MGPAP multidisciplinary medical centre

A multidisciplinary medical centre of the General Mutual of Public Administration Officials (MGPAP) was inaugurated on Saturday in Laâyoune, within the framework of the proximity policy adopted by the MGPAP in terms of providing medical and administrative services, and with the objective of easing the workload of public hospitals.

Inaugurated by a delegation led by the Wali of the Laâyoune-Boujdour-Sakia El Hamra Region, governor of the Laâyoune province, Mr. Khalil Dkhil, the centre is composed of several specialties, including obstetrics and gynaecology, the gastrointestinal system, paediatrics, general medicine, ophthalmology, physiotherapy, and dentistry, as well as a diagnostic room, a laboratory, and a fibroscope.

The establishment of this centre aims to bring services closer to the members of the mutual, contribute to the regional policy adopted by the Kingdom, and strengthen medical services in the southern provinces, indicated Mr. Abdelmoula Abdelmoumni, president of the MGPAP Board of Directors, in a statement to the press.

Thanks to a complete database on the members of the mutual, the centre is also able to offer medical and administrative services to members and their beneficiaries comparable to those provided at the central level, affirmed Mr. Abdelmoumni.

He added that the centre will make it possible to ease the workload on public hospitals and hospital centres, especially since the latter now offer services within the framework of the Medical Assistance Scheme (RAMED).

The centre, whose services are open to members of the MGPAP and other mutuals, has a daily reception capacity of 20 people for dental care, 60 people for diagnostics, 10 people for ophthalmology, and five people for physiotherapy.
