We are in the phosphate city, Khouribga. By chance, a young man discovered, this Wednesday morning, June 5, on the terrace of abandoned toilets overlooking the railway line, not far from the Moulay Youssef boulevard bridge, the corpse of an adolescent, lying in a pool of blood. Alerted, the elements of the judicial police rushed to the scene. First, they noticed that the corpse was not wearing trousers.
Then, they noticed that the back of the head was smashed. Next to the corpse, they found a stone stained with blood and a bottle of brandy. Through the homeless people who frequented this place, these detectives managed to identify the victim. It was Ismaïl, fifteen years old, from an indigent family living on the outskirts of the city of Khouribga.
After having evacuated the corpse to the morgue of the Hassan II hospital for an autopsy, a police investigation was launched. Six hours later, the perpetrator was identified. It was Achraf, twenty-one years old, who was nabbed the same day as he was leaving the hammam. In his belongings, the detectives seized trousers that still had traces of blood. Faced with this damning evidence, he quickly confessed.
He claimed to be in the habit of meeting Ismail and drinking a few sips of brandy together while inhaling glue. He added that he abused Ismail once they were intoxicated. Except that this time he refrained for no apparent reason, which made him lose his temper. He thus grabbed a stone and smashed his head to abuse him afterwards. He confessed that two merchants also abused Ismail in exchange for a few dirhams.
The two merchants were arrested but they denied everything. And yet, the public prosecutor at the Court of Appeal of the city kept them in pre-trial detention before being judged in the company of Achraf.
