According to information coming from the security cordon erected on the southern border of the Kingdom, adolescents trained by force by the separatists spend their day attacking soldiers on duty.
Using slingshots, the Polisario's henchmen try to get them to respond to their provocations.
But aware of the provocateurs' designs, the Moroccan soldiers observe an Olympian calm. This annoys their aggressors and incites them to multiply their provocative acts.
Moreover, these same troublemakers who try to disrupt the daily lives of the inhabitants of Boujdour, Laâyoune, and Smara use violence against police and security force elements and attack public or private establishments to cause maximum damage. In order to make their lies believable, the Polisario militiamen welcome alleged foreign observers visiting the Saharan provinces to convince them that they are victims of aggression and human rights violations perpetrated by the security forces. Far from conforming to the neutrality they are supposed to observe, some observers do not hesitate to testify, even falsely, in their favour. This is the case of some members of Amnesty International who, as soon as they arrived in Smara, went directly to the provincial hospital where some individuals presented them with a group of adolescents allegedly victims of abuse.
The hospital staff who examined them certified, in this regard, that they had detected no trace of violence on their bodies.
In a press release made public by the communication service of the Smara province and of which Libé received a copy, the local authorities denounced this type of behaviour which aims to deceive national and international public opinion and which, instead of mitigating hatred, only fuels it. Said press release indicates, moreover, that the delegation of this NGO which stayed for 24 hours in the city was able to observe the calm that reigns there. But instead of asking the legitimate representatives of the populations to enlighten them on the situation, they addressed individuals known for having fomented trouble and having engaged in reprehensible acts. This attitude of the representatives of this NGO surprised all components of the local civil society.
