Boujdour (بوجدور in Arabic, formerly Cabo Bojador in Portuguese) is a Moroccan town.
Boujdour was originally a fishing village established around the Cape Boujdour lighthouse. From 1976, this city began to assert an urban character, supported by demographic growth and its new port. Emerging from the desert, Boujdour became the capital of the province. This has benefited from the "Al Aouda" and "Al Wahda" programmes. The State's effort in favour of this province is also directed towards the creation of fishing villages. On the other hand, from 1976, a seawater desalination unit was installed there and research led to the discovery of groundwater in the vicinity of the town. This city has an asset: the corniche. It is located within the town and runs along the coast. It constitutes one of the most beautiful sites in the Laâyoune - Boujdour region.
