A delegation of cooperation advisers from the European Union paid a visit to Beni Mellal on Thursday, 30 May, as part of the 'Children on the Move: for a responsible approach to the migration of minors' project.
This tour was an opportunity to present the actions carried out and to debate the project set up by the Italian NGO ProgettoMondo Mlal. The cooperation officers thus learned about the results of 'Children on the Move' as well as the experimentation of didactic units and the daily activities of the media libraries (drawing workshop, debate, orientation support, human rights...).
As a reminder, 'Children on the Move' is a project co-financed by the European Union and implemented in the provinces of Beni Mellal, Khouribga, Nador, and Tangier, areas that have one of the highest incidences of migrants to Europe. Its objective is the prevention of clandestine migration of unaccompanied minors, through the sensitisation of children and adolescents to the risks of illegal migration.
