Abdelhadi Khairat's remarks concerning Prince Moulay Hicham were simply distorted. He in no way accused the Prince of embezzlement, contrary to what the daily "Al Massae" claimed in its edition last weekend. The said daily not only took the remarks of the Ittihadi leader out of context, but it truly distorted them by also attributing to him remarks he did not make during the meeting organised last Thursday by the USFP section in Beni Mellal. The full recording of his intervention leaves no doubt about this.
Responding to a question concerning the government of alternation, the socialist leader recalled the approach adopted by Abderrahmane El Youssoufi's cabinet, avoiding media hype or any sensationalism in its fight against corruption, particularly the irregularities recorded within the CIH.
In this regard, Abdelhadi Khairat said the following: "When El Youssoufi was Prime Minister, we did not imprison people, but we appointed the best judges with a view to prioritising the recovery of embezzled funds because it involved billions. And the Red Prince borrowed 4 billion without any guarantee."
