Thus, the team from the Regional Academy of Education and Training for the Casablanca-Settat region, Hay Hassani directorate (boys), managed to win the title for the under-18 category, while the Souss-Massa Academy came in second place, and the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Academy took third place.
For the girls, the first place went to the Souss-Massa Academy team, Inzegane-Ait Melloul directorate, followed by the Casablanca-Settat Academy in second place, while the third place went to the Drâa-Tafilalet region Academy.
In the under-15 category for boys, the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Academy, Skhirat-Temara directorate, won first place, followed by the Souss-Massa Academy in second place, while the Casablanca-Settat Academy team took third place.
For the girls, the Souss-Massa Academy, Agadir-Ida-Outanane directorate, took first place, followed by the Marrakech-Safi Academy in second place, while the third place went to the Drâa-Tafilalet region Academy.
The closing ceremony of this sporting event, which was attended in particular by the Director of School Sports Promotion at the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Abdeslam Mili, the Director of the Regional Academy of Education and Training for the Fez-Meknes region, Fouad Arrouadi, and the Provincial Director of Taza, Mohamed El Ghouri, was marked by the distribution of awards to the winning teams of the championship and the honoring of a group of educational staff who have rendered great services to school sports.
In a statement to the Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) on the occasion, Mr. Abdeslam Mili emphasized that the Ministry has outlined a national program for school sports and various national championships that allow students who have won at the regional and provincial levels to compete well, as well as to generalize access for students from all regions of the Kingdom to practice sports.
He added that the competitions of this national championship were characterized by a good competitive level and excellent conditions for practice, highlighting that the role of school sports is to encourage students to practice their favorite sport and highlight their abilities and talents, as this edition enabled the discovery of emerging talents in this sport.
In similar statements, the captains of the winning teams expressed their happiness with this achievement, which was the result of the combined efforts of the players and the sports staff supervising the training and coaching.
They confirmed that the matches witnessed rivalry and fair competition among the participants and were characterized by high sportsmanship throughout all their stages.
It is noteworthy that this sporting event was organized at the Larbi El Mahdi stadium in Taza, under the slogan "School sports for open and successful students", in coordination with the Regional Academy of Education and Training for the Fez-Meknes region and the Provincial Directorate of Taza, within the framework of implementing the Ministry's program for school sports activities for the 2024-2025 academic year.
This sporting event saw the participation of about 320 students representing various regional academies, in addition to supervisors, companions, referees, and technicians from partner universities.
