The Administrative Court of Casablanca is examining the lawsuit filed by the Governor of the Ain Sebaa-Hay Mohammadi districts to dismiss the President of the Ain Sebaa district, Youssef Lahsinia, who belongs to the Popular Movement party.
The Governor of the Ain Sebaa-Hay Mohammadi districts resorted to the administrative judiciary after the aforementioned President refused to include an item related to the motion for his dismissal, in application of Article 70 of the Organic Law on Communes.
Tomorrow, Monday, the first session will be held to rule on the request submitted by the Governor of the Ain Sebaa prefecture, in accordance with the provisions of Article 76 of the Organic Law, based on Lahsinia's refusal to include the motion requesting the President to submit his resignation in the agenda of the first session of the fourth year, which the Ain Sebaa district council was scheduled to hold on January 2, 2025.
Two-thirds of the members of the Ain Sebaa district council submitted a motion to President Youssef Lahsinia to hold an extraordinary session including the item of his dismissal.
The session held last Thursday witnessed the refusal of members belonging to the National Rally of Independents, the Authenticity and Modernity Party, the Istiqlal Party, the Socialist Union of Popular Forces, the Popular Movement, and the Constitutional Union to attend its proceedings and boycott the items included in it.
The Haraki President found himself isolated, as only he, the local authorities, two other members, and some citizens attended, which forced him to announce the postponement of the session until next Wednesday.
In contrast, the opposing members, numbering 22, decided to hold their session away from the district headquarters in a villa, thus sending a message that they do not wish to continue working with the current President.
