This medical campaign, organized in partnership with the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the "Isaad" Association, enabled the needs of women, children, and people with chronic diseases to be met.
On this occasion, the Dar Taliba and the primary school of Sebt Loudaya were transformed into centres for providing various medical examinations for this category of the population living in isolated areas, by a specialized team of health professionals.
In a statement to the Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP), the president of the "Isaad" Association and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry in Fez, Tarik Sqalli Houssaini, highlighted the multidisciplinary nature of this campaign, explaining that this initiative aims to provide local health services for the benefit of citizens, as well as awareness sessions about various diseases, especially child health during the first thousand days of his life.
Mr. Sqalli Houssaini emphasized the mobilization of a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, and stakeholders, which proposes diagnoses and treatments in multiple specialties such as general medicine, cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, nephrology, endocrinology and diabetes, oral and dental surgery for children, and child psychiatry, in addition to blood pressure measurement.
He also explained that a pharmacy was made available, and ultrasound examinations and laboratory analyses were carried out, confirming the importance of medical campaigns organized regularly within the framework of a partnership with the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).
In a similar statement, the head of the Social Action Division at the Moulay Yacoub province prefecture, Saadeddine Jilani, stressed the importance of this medical campaign, which falls within the framework of the efforts made by the National Initiative for Human Development to strengthen the health supply in the province, especially by bringing health services closer to the population.
He highlighted, in the same context, the importance that the National Initiative for Human Development attaches to medical examinations that specifically target women and children, noting that this operation is organized under the slogan "The first thousand days, the foundation of our children's future".
Mr. Jilani explained that the awareness-raising operations focused on the importance of breastfeeding and nutritional diversity for children under two years old, and the goal is to change bad behaviours and spread the rules of good practices related to maternal and child health in order to ensure healthy physical and cognitive growth for the child.
