The Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection in the Eastern Region announced the reopening of the local hospital in Midar, in the Driouch province, after completing the repair of damages caused by rainwater leakage resulting from the difficult weather conditions witnessed in the region..
The Directorate stated, in a statement on Wednesday, that out of its keenness to ensure the continued provision of health services to citizens, it coordinated with the Provincial Delegation of Health and Social Protection in the Driouch province to take urgent and effective measures to rehabilitate the hospital, with significant support from local authorities, civil protection, and the urban commune of Midar.
It explained that specialized and qualified work teams were immediately formed to assess the damage caused by the rainwater leakage and to start repair operations immediately, noting that these intensive efforts resulted in the return of all vital departments in the hospital to work at full capacity, which ensures the resumption of providing necessary health services to the residents of the Midar commune and neighboring areas.
The Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection called, in this regard, on the concerned citizens to visit the hospital and benefit from the various health services it provides.
It is worth noting that this hospital has a capacity of 45 beds, is equipped with the latest medical equipment, and employs 90 medical, nursing, and administrative staff who work to provide medical and therapeutic services at this institution for the benefit of the targeted population.
