The city of Tangier will host, from 2 to 6 May, the 7th meeting of Andalusian music lovers, with the participation of a galaxy of artists from the regions of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, Fes-Meknes, and Rabat-Sale, at the initiative of the Nassaim Al Andalous Association. This musical meeting will be punctuated by the organisation of an artistic caravan that will travel through several public schools, foreign educational mission schools, and foreign cultural institutes installed in Tangier, in order to highlight Andalusian music, in addition to a conference on the theme "The Haj Abdelkrim Rais School of Andalusian Music in Fes", indicates a press release from the organisers.
On the programme of this event is also the organisation of an exhibition of photos and works by Haj Abdelkrim Rais, in order to shed light on this authentic Moroccan art, notably in terms of musical writing and composition. This event will be marked by the organisation of musical shows led by the Tangier Andalusian music troupe, "Layali Nagham", under the direction of Said Belkadi, groups of musicologists from Rabat and Sale, the Andalusian music choir "Nassaim Al Andalous", under the direction of Jamal Eddine Ben Allal, and the choir of Andalusian music artists from the Fes-Meknes region. This event aims to encourage young people to practise Andalusian music, promote the role of this authentic art in the dissemination of values of coexistence and peace, strengthen musical dialogue, preserve this cultural heritage, and meet the aspirations of fans of this music.
