A woman from Douar Ouled Chbala in Benahmed gave birth to four female babies on Sunday evening at the Hassan II Hospital in Settat.

The four babies are in a "stable" condition and weighed between 1.5 kg and 2.4 kg, according to the medical team that performed the caesarean section.

The gynaecologist who led the delivery operation assured, for her part, that the four babies are in an intensive care unit and are all in a stable condition.

The parents of the babies, who come from a modest background, declared themselves "very happy" and are making an urgent appeal to charitable souls to come to their aid.
