The new terminal of Fes-Saïss airport, intended to increase the annual reception capacity of the airport to 2.5 million passengers, will soon be ready. Designed to meet the constant increase in passenger traffic at the level of the spiritual capital and to accompany the economic dynamic of the region, the new terminal, with a total cost of 479 million dirhams, is part of a large extension project of Fes-Saïss airport. Also intended to respond to the arrival of new companies and the creation of new additional routes, this large-scale airport structure, whose works were launched in 2011, is built on a total area of 17,000 m2. The new terminal, whose construction works are financed by the ONDA and the African Development Bank (AfDB), aims at the extension of the aircraft parking and the connecting taxiways with the runway, as well as the installation of a new car park with 800 spaces. Fes-Saïss airport, a platform of choice for several low-cost companies, welcomes thousands of Moroccan and foreign tourists every year.
