On the occasion of the twelfth birthday of H.R.H. Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, the cavalry troupes (Sorbats) of Mohammedia are organising, until 24 May, the third edition of the "Tbourida" moussem, the kick-off of which was given last Monday. Organised under the aegis of the Federation of Traditional Equestrian Sports of Greater Casablanca, this event placed under the sign of authenticity and the preservation of heritage brings together more than 800 riders. The city of Mohammedia, lively at this time of year, thus lives throughout this week to the rhythm of the fantasia with all the traditional ceremonial that accompanies this custom preserved through generations and increasingly valued.
The public and visitors are invited to this horse festival, another opportunity to showcase the assets of a city that strives to safeguard its heritage to become a true pole of attraction and a destination of choice for national and foreign tourists. According to Mohamed Daoui, president of the Casablanca Federation, this moussem which is gaining notoriety will make it possible to convey a dynamic image of the seaside city on a national and international scale. Furthermore, the event takes place in a vacant lot located at the exit of the city towards Rabat, not far from the Sablettes beach.
