M'diq (in Arabic: المضيق), or commonly called Rincón, which means "corner" in Spanish, is a Moroccan coastal town located in the prefecture of M'diq-Fnideq (Tanger-Tétouan region).
M'diq (in Arabic: المضيق), or commonly called Rincón, which means "corner" in Spanish, is a Moroccan coastal town located in the M'diq-Fnideq prefecture (Tangier-Tétouan region). Its inhabitants are the Mdikis. In 2003, its population was 60,000. M'diq is known for its strong tourist appeal during the summer period. It is part of the Jebala region.
Located 15 km from Tétouan and 25 km from Sebta, M'diq is bordered to the north by the municipality of Fnideq, to the south by the commune of Mellaliyine, to the west by the commune of Alliyene and to the east by the Mediterranean Sea. Its primary vocation was maritime and it remains so thanks to the fishing port, the construction of which dates back to the 1970s. The urban area of M'diq covers an area of 480 hectares, 153 of which are urbanised.
