The accident occurred around 9:30 PM, when a passenger train coming from El Jadida and heading to Casablanca hit a light vehicle at an unguarded level crossing, killing two men on board.
On 21 May, four schoolchildren were killed and 16 others were injured, five of them seriously, in a similar accident at Ouled Hassoun Al Hamri near Benguerir, 60 km from Marrakech.
