HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan presided on Friday at the Casablanca-Anfa racecourse over the ceremony of the HM King Mohammed VI Grand Prix for the 12th edition of the international day of purebred Arabian horse racing.
The prestigious HM King Mohammed VI GP event, with a prize of 1.2 million dirhams and open to purebred Arabian stallions and mares aged four and over, took place over a distance of 2,100 metres. It was won by the horse Ghadanfar Al Khalidiah Al Thani (Saudi Arabia), ridden by Roberto Perez and owned by Al Khalidiah Stables.
The HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan GP, run over 1,900 m with a prize money of 800,000 dirhams, is reserved for purebred Arabian stallions and mares aged four years and over. First place went to the horse Udallan, ridden by Abdellah El Kandoussi and owned by Kamal Daissaoui.
Victory in the HRH Prince Moulay Rachid international race, contested over 1,750 m with a prize of 700,000 dirhams, went to the horse Ispahan (United Arab Emirates), ridden by Abdelkader El Kandoussi and owned by Kamal Daissaoui.
