The city of Agadir will soon have its own amusement and leisure park, named "Agadirland", which will require an investment exceeding 300 million dirhams.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Wali of the Souss-Massa region and Governor of the Agadir-Ida Outanane prefecture, Mrs Zineb El Adaoui, during a meeting dedicated to the presentation of this tourism project, which is set to make Agadir a premier destination for entertainment and leisure, both for foreign tourists and for nationals who are visiting the capital of the Souss in increasing numbers.
This park, which will be built on a plain overlooking the city and connected by a state-of-the-art cable car, includes several components such as a water park, a dolphinarium, a labyrinth, a suspended go-kart track, rides, sports fields, a 7D cinema, an ice rink, a cultural space, a space entirely dedicated to women, a mini-zoo, and an educational farm, highlights a press release from the communication unit of the Agadir-Ida Outanane prefecture.
Taking part in this meeting, which falls within the framework of the integrated and participatory approach established by the Wali of the region, were the President of the Souss-Massa Regional Council, the President of the Agadir Communal Council, the Director of the Regional Investment Centre, the President of the Regional Tourism Centre, as well as all the heads of external services concerned with major tourism projects.
