The capital of the Souss will host, from 18 to 20 March, the 2nd edition of the Agadir Gastronomic Meetings, placed this year under the theme "Gastronomy: Pole of excellence for economic development".
These Gastronomic Meetings aim to give Agadir an image of a gastronomic destination by federating all political, economic, tourist, and educational actors, and to bring Moroccan and French gastronomies closer together through great chefs from both countries while fostering meetings, exchanges, and experiences.
Over the three days, culinary demonstrations, conferences, testimonials, tastings, brunch, gala evening, and gastronomic meal will be on the programme of this 2nd edition which will be sponsored by French chefs, Régis and Jacques Marcon (3 stars in the Michelin guide), and Kamal Rahal Essoulami, president of the Moroccan Federation of Culinary Arts.
An exceptional brigade of 30 French and Moroccan chefs will take part in this 2016 edition, including notably Joël Cesari, Johan Leclerre, Laurent Trochain, Henri Gouny, Myriam Ettahri, Chef Moha, or Karim Ben Baba.
This year's edition aims to valorise the diversity and quality of seafood and local products. Pastry will also be in the spotlight with the exceptional presence of five chefs from the Alain Ducasse Higher School of Pastry.
The honorary presidency of this second edition is entrusted to André Marcon, president of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
