In partnership with the Souss-Massa-Draâ Regional Council, the regional directorate of the Ministry of Communication and Ibn Zohr University, the National Union of Moroccan Journalists, Agadir section, organised the second edition of the Regional Press Prize on Sunday 17 May in a large hotel in the city. This prize is intended for journalists from the Souss-Massa-Draâ region in the written, electronic and audiovisual press.

For the organisers, this prize aims to pay tribute to journalists who participate in the promotion of the SMD region through their writings and radio-television broadcasts.

Younès Moujahid, president of the jury for the 2015 edition, stressed the importance of this prize for the development of the regional press. He added that the quality of the competing works presents a broad media contribution to the various aspects of the regional press and current events.

Five prizes were awarded: Investigation Prize; Audiovisual Prize: report; Audiovisual Prize: programme; Electronic press prize: report; Young journalists' prize.

Taking part in this award ceremony were Abdallah Bakkali, Secretary General of the SNPM; Younès Moujahid, Secretary General of the National Federal Council, as well as representatives of various media in the region.
