To bring the structuring project Casa Anfa to life: The National Museums Foundation and CDG join forces

This partnership aims to anchor culture at the heart of the strategic initiatives undertaken by CDG and its subsidiaries.

Partnership: The National Museums Foundation and the CDG group seal a strategic partnership to boost Casablanca's cultural scene. One of the flagship projects of this collaboration involves the conversion of the former Anfa airport terminal into a photography museum.

The National Museums Foundation (FNM), the Caisse de dépôt et de gestion (CDG), and the Anfa Urbanisation and Development Agency (AUDA) are joining forces. The three entities signed two partnership agreements on Monday aimed at injecting new dynamism into Casablanca's cultural scene through museum and artistic initiatives at the heart of the urban projects of the Kingdom's economic capital. "True to its mission of encouraging young people to visit museums and democratising access to art and culture for all Moroccans, the FNM is partnering with CDG and its subsidiary AUDA to bring the structuring project Casa Anfa to life, a true model of urban innovation, in order to develop a dynamic ecosystem where living spaces, economic hubs, and cultural venues harmoniously blend," explains the FNM in a statement. It adds that "this partnership also aims to anchor culture at the heart of the strategic initiatives undertaken by CDG and its subsidiaries, positioning it as an essential lever for economic, social, and territorial development."

One of the flagship projects of this collaboration involves the conversion of the former Anfa airport terminal into a photography museum. According to the same source, this venue, dedicated to celebrating photographic art in all its forms, will contribute to enriching the metropolis's cultural offerings and strengthening its attractiveness as an essential artistic and cultural destination.
"This museum is thus part of an ambitious cultural dynamic for the metropolis, already marked by the imminent opening of Villa Carl Ficke, a museum space dedicated to the city's memory and its rich architectural and sculptural heritage," it is noted.

The National Museums Foundation further notes that this partnership between the FNM, CDG, and AUDA reflects a common ambition to promote a vibrant, inclusive, and accessible culture for all, in order to enhance the influence and attractiveness of the city of Casablanca.
