Some 6,700 litres of contraband petrol from Algeria were seized recently in the Taza province. According to local authorities, this large quantity of contraband petrol was seized in two different locations in Sidi Abdeljalil, falling under the commune of Matmata (Taza province). This operation also led to the arrest of two individuals, while a third person managed to escape. Large canisters used in this smuggling traffic were also seized. The suspects were handed over to the judicial police for further investigation.
