H.M. the King inaugurates the Institute specialised in road transport and logistics trades of Taourirt
His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, proceeded, on Tuesday in Taourirt, to the inauguration of an Institute specialised in road transport and logistics trades.
Mobilising investments of more than 56.3 million dirhams (MDH), this project reflects the particular interest that His Majesty the King attaches to the human element and His unwavering determination to make it the centre and fundamental purpose of development initiatives (royal speech addressed to the Nation on the occasion of the Throne Day, 30 July 2012). This new centre, built by the Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion (OFPPT) over a total area of 34,148 m², will provide young people in the region with qualifying training in transport and logistics trades, notably warehousing, storage, packaging, handling, transport, and distribution. Like those built in Tangier, Casablanca, and Agadir, the new establishment will ensure a wide range of training, set up in a concerted manner with professionals in the sector, with a capacity of 1,500 trainees.
