Adoption of 105 projects for a cost of 65 million dirhams

The provincial commission for human development of Taounate adopted, on Friday, 105 projects for a total cost of 65 million dirhams (MDH), of which 50 MDH will be financed by the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) fund.

The transversal programme accounts for 47 projects for a total budget of 19 MDH, of which 10 MDH will be disbursed by the INDH fund.

The number of projects to fight poverty in rural areas has reached 42 programmes for a total financing exceeding 34 MDH.

As for the programme to fight precariousness, it has benefited from 9 projects with a total value of 9 MDH, of which 7.5 MDH is covered by the INDH fund.

The provincial commission also approved 6 projects to fight social exclusion in urban areas for a budget of 1.5 MDH entirely covered by the INDH fund.

A single project concerns territorial development requiring a budget of 2.3 MDH which will be entirely financed by the INDH.

These projects concern in particular the strengthening of the drinking water distribution network of the El Oulja commune, the construction of two centres for disabled people in the communes of Tissa and Rhafsay, the construction of education and training centres, socio-educational and sports complexes, and local sports fields, and the equipping of sports halls.

These projects also relate to the acquisition of coaches for school transport and rescue vehicles (4x4), the realisation of income-generating activities, such as the acquisition of an olive oil extraction unit and beehives for beekeeping, the distillation of medicinal and aromatic plants, the acquisition of bakery and pastry equipment, hair salons, and three-wheeled vehicles equipped with refrigerated boxes for fishmongers.

After the presentation of the report for the 2005-2015 period, the governor of the Taounate province, Hassan Belhadfa, insisted on the participation, adherence, and redoubling of efforts by all partners and associative actors to guarantee the conditions for success for the INDH projects within the framework of a spirit of promoting the culture of social space and the responsibility of management and awareness-raising among the population regarding the importance of these socio-cultural and sports projects.
