The provincial committee of the INDH proceeded to finance buses intended to ensure the shuttle between the parental home and the school in order to fight against school dropout. It also proceeded to the delivery of 3 medicalised ambulances for the benefit of the provincial delegation of Health as well as a tourist bus with a capacity of 24 seats for the benefit of the provincial delegation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, for a total cost of 6.21 million dirhams, financed by the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).
Similarly, 16 local associations were awarded cheques from the provincial delegation of National Mutual Aid with a total value of 230,000.00 DH. Note that since its launch on 18 May 2005, the INDH has contributed 78 million DH to the education sector and 32 million DH to the health sector. During a ceremony marking the ninth anniversary of the INDH, the governor of the province of Sidi Kacem, Brahim Abouzeid, stressed that this project which reigns has been able to make its way towards the establishment of the pillars and structures essential for the development and realisation of projects with a social dimension.
This project, he argued, enjoys the dynamism and the increase in the pace that has accompanied it at the provincial and local level. Also, the experience that the governance committees have forged has given them the opportunity to master the methodology of the initiative and the exhaustive treatment of projects, he added.
The governor also recalled that the INDH should not be conceived as being a set of projects and/or achievements, but as a mode of reflection and a new method of developing projects registered in a participatory approach, within a framework of good governance, managed by qualified human resources and in compliance with the principle of proximity in resolving the problems hindering their realisation. In other words, the INDH is a relevant tool for the establishment of new values and a new philosophy. To do this, affirmed Mr. Abouzeid, we should equip ourselves with a clear vision allowing
to ensure a convergence of the various sectoral and local programmes and also of the plans of local authorities.
