Salé: "Scientific Lectures" programme launched for detainees in extremism and terrorism cases

Initiated by the Musalaha Centre, this programme aims to encourage prisoners to break with extremist ideology, embrace the values of tolerance, and reject fanaticism and extremism, according to a statement from the Centre.

The programme is supervised by experts and professors specialising in the Rabita Mohamadia of Ulemas through interactive lectures spread over five days for each session, noting that the first session involves the participation of 50 inmates from the local prison of Salé, the statement highlights, reporting on the implementation of the programme (11 sessions) in other penitentiary centres during the current year.

The launch ceremony of the programme was attended by the Secretary General of the Rabita Mohamadia of Ulemas, the Director of the Musalaha Centre, the Secretary General of the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR), the coordinator of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Reintegration of Detainees, as well as experts and professors supervising the programme.

The "Scientific Lectures" programme, dedicated to detainees in cases of extremism and terrorism, was launched on Monday in Salé, with the aim of immunising and protecting the prison environment.
