Launch of the progressive training operation in Salé

The 2nd phase of the "progressive training" operation for the 2013-2016 period was launched on Saturday at the Multidisciplinary Vocational Training Centre in Salé, under the theme "For responsible youth".

The centre welcomes individuals aged 15 to 30, its director, Hanane Abbaz, told MAP, highlighting that this 2nd phase benefits more than 500 participants in various specialities, including 340 from vocational training for the 2013-2014 academic year.

This operation, which is part of the implementation of the partnership agreement between this Centre and the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training, aims to train 640 young people in various specialities, she specified, recalling that the 1st phase benefited 400 young people between 2008 and 2012.

For her part, the president of the Moroccan Organisation for Family Equity, Hayat Boufrachen, indicated that this initiative aims to train young people in various fields, notably accounting, small business management, and IT, while awarding them state-certified diplomas to facilitate their access to the labour market.

This training particularly benefits students who have dropped out of school, as well as university students wishing to receive vocational training and former prison inmates.

The said operation is organised by the Multidisciplinary Vocational Training Centre, in partnership with the Office of Vocational Training and Employment Promotion (OFPPT) and the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).

The Moroccan Organisation for Family Equity, created in 2004, works to promote women's income-generating activities and to train young people to access the labour market.
