502 projects completed in Salé with a budget of 350 million DH

A total of 502 projects were completed under the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) in the prefecture of Salé between 2005 and 2012, with a budget of over 350 million DH, including an INDH contribution of nearly 236 million DH, or approximately 35%.

Some 373 projects benefited local associations and cooperatives, representing 365,000 beneficiaries, according to data presented during a meeting held on Thursday in Salé to mark the 8th anniversary of the Initiative, under the theme "INDH, a bridge for socio-economic integration".

These projects covered various sectors, particularly reception centres, income-generating projects, self-employment, and infrastructure.

Speaking on this occasion, the governor of the prefecture of Salé recalled that the INDH is a project aimed at involving all parties in the programming, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation of projects.

He also noted that the subsidies planned for the 2005-2010 period were mainly allocated to socio-educational infrastructure and equipment, stressing that the current trend is to preserve these achievements and strengthen income-generating and job-creating activities, particularly for young graduates.

During this meeting, a partnership agreement was signed between the prefecture of Salé, the city's municipal council, the regional delegation of the Ministry of National Education, and city developers for the construction of six private schools with a capacity of 1,800 pupils.

Some projects funded by the INDH were also presented, and equipment and supplies were delivered to the beneficiaries of the "SOS Bricolage" project.
