Copper cable theft: A gang dismantled in Salé

Elements of the judicial police in Salé dismantled, on Thursday, a gang specialising in the theft of copper cables, operating notably in the El-Oulja industrial zone. Two members of the gang were arrested in the act, while a third managed to escape, according to a police source, specifying that the thefts took place in the El-Oulja and Sidi Hmida industrial zones. These thefts caused significant losses for companies operating in the two industrial zones and caused electrical failures in the neighbouring districts. An investigation is underway to apprehend the third individual, who is still on the run, according to the same source.
