The world's largest cruise sailing ship will make a stopover in Safi

According to the Motril Port Authority (Granada, Andalusia), the Royal Clipper docked at the port of Motril before departing on Thursday evening, 30 October 2014, bound for the Moroccan city of Safi.

The sailing ship arrived in Motril with 186 tourists on board, in addition to 106 crew members.

The Royal Clipper is the third ship of the Star Clippers company. It is built in the image of the German ship Preussen, a legendary five-masted ship launched in 1902. The sailing ship left the Polish shipyards of Gdansk in 2000.

A replica of the great sailing ships of the past, this superb 134-metre-long ship has five masts that can support some thirty sails over an area of 5,000 m2. Designed from the outset as a cruise ship, the Royal Clipper can accommodate up to 227 passengers.
