H.R.H. Princess Lalla Salma presides in Rabat over a ceremony for the donation of medicines intended for children with cancer in 5 African countries
Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Salma, President of the Lalla Salma Foundation for Cancer Prevention and Treatment, presided on Tuesday at the Foundation's headquarters in Rabat over a ceremony for the donation of medicines intended for children with cancer in five African countries.
This action is part of the global programme for the development of care for children with cancer in the countries of the region, in collaboration with the Franco-African Group of Paediatric Oncology, and follows the Call and recommendations of the Marrakech International Conference organised by the Lalla Salma Foundation in January 2012. In addition to the donation of medicines, the Lalla Salma Foundation provides significant support for the development of the skills of healthcare personnel in these countries through the African School of Oncology. The countries targeted by this operation are Mali, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal and Gabon. Fourteen African countries had requested collaboration with the Lalla Salma Foundation in the field of cancer prevention and control, and numerous conventions have been signed.
