The Mohammed VI Foundation for the Reintegration of Detainees distributed medicines, warm clothing, and blankets to the inmates of the local prison in Khénifra on Friday. This social initiative, which primarily aims to support detainees against the cold weather experienced in the region in recent days, benefited 200 inmates, stated the director of the local prison in Khénifra, Abdellah Saffou, in a statement to the MAP. He added that the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Reintegration of Detainees, working in coordination with the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity and civil society, managed to mobilise 16 doctors of various specialities, in addition to deploying a mobile radiology truck to ensure medical care for more than 190 detainees.
Beyond its support and solidarity actions, he continued, the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Reintegration of Detainees spares no effort in promoting its new philosophy, which also aims at the reintegration of former inmates of penal institutions into the socio-economic fabric. In this context, he explained, some penal institutions at the national level have become spaces for post-prison rehabilitation, just as post-prison support centres welcome former detainees, ensuring them support in their socio-professional integration process.
