The National Professional Football League has decided to impose a penalty banning the fans of Chabab Atlas Khenifra from attending five consecutive matches, while fining the club 50,000 dirhams, following the riots that accompanied the team's match against their guests, Kawkab Marrakech.
The League explained that the decision came after a number of supporters stormed the pitch and exchanged stones with the opposing fans, which threatened the safety of those present and caused material damage to the stadium.
In response, the management of Chabab Atlas Khenifra expressed its strong rejection of the penalty, describing it as "unfair" and "disproportionate to the situation," especially after the club submitted legal arguments and pleadings explaining the circumstances of the events and defending its position.
