137,000 quintals of livestock feed made available to breeders
The supply of subsidised barley and compound feed to breeders in the Khénifra province, as part of the livestock safeguarding and protection programme, reached 137,300 quintals for the year 2012, according to the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture (DPA).This quantity, which constitutes the province's total allocation, is divided between barley (102,300 quintals) and compound feed (35,000 quintals), the DPA specified in a statement received by MAP, adding that more than 49,000 breeders in the various communes of the province are expected to benefit from this operation, which is currently in its fourth tranche.
