Moroccan research in management sciences was at the center of debates during a symposium organized by the ENCG of Kenitra.
The National School of Commerce and Management (ENCG) of Kenitra recently organized the first edition of the International Days on Management Science Research around the theme "Moroccan research in management sciences: assessment and perspectives".
According to the organizers, the choice of the theme for this edition was motivated by the scarcity of studies and research concerning management sciences at the level of the Moroccan University. In order to contribute to promoting a field of research that is, it seems, in its infancy, the ENCG of Kenitra invited researchers and experts to this meeting who emphasized the importance of management sciences in the development process of the company and its economic and social environment.
Sadouk Khazrouni, director of the ENCG Kenitra, recalled that the quality of the participants, experts, and students, allowed for a fruitful exchange in favor of scientific research in the field of management sciences. He did not fail to recall the interactive links between the promotion of research and economic and entrepreneurial development. For his part, Azeddine El Midaoui, president of Ibn Tofail University, considered that the organization of this type of meeting reflects the degree of maturity reached by the ENCG of Kenitra. A young school, he emphasized, which has adapted to the changes that the world of research and learning is experiencing. He highlighted, to this effect, the various academic and scientific events organized by this establishment, which have contributed to raising the level of debate within the Moroccan University.
"Besides its classic function of training and anchoring the values of citizenship and universalism, the modern University is called upon to develop scientific research to win the bet of economic and social development," he specified, citing in this regard the example of China, which devotes nearly 200 billion euros to scientific research, emphasizing that the greatness of a civilization is measured by the yardstick of its scientific, cognitive, technological, and economic development. It should be remembered that the Scientific Committee of these Days selected five major axes of reflection: marketing and strategic management, accounting control audit of organizations, human resources management, management of organizations, and communication and governance of territories. Some experts recalled that management sciences sought to describe, understand, and explain the functioning of organizations.
Research in management sciences is organized around major disciplines (marketing, human resources management, finance, strategy, production management, information systems...).
