Slight drop in the consumer price index in April 2025

The consumer price index experienced a slight contraction in the city of Guelmim in April 2025, recording a drop of 0.1% compared to March, to reach an average level of 122.3 points. This is revealed in the monthly note published by the regional directorate of the High Commission for Planning of Guelmim-Oued Noun.
This trend is mainly explained by a 0.2% decline in the "Food and non-alcoholic beverages" group, attributable to the fall in prices of certain basic food products.
Furthermore, the "Transport" group recorded a notable decrease of 0.6%, reflecting a drop in the cost of certain services and products, particularly fuels. This decline strongly contributed to the overall mitigation of the CPI for the month of April.
