Crimes continue to multiply in Guelmim, terrifying populations unaccustomed to these horrors. In this sense, on Tuesday, April 2, the inhabitants of the rural commune of Lkssabi, located about 10 km south-west of the city, were surprised by the discovery of the lifeless body of a young man, who had received fatal blows to the head. The victim's remains were transported to the morgue of the Regional Hospital Centre of the city of Guelmim, and an investigation was opened by the Royal Gendarmerie to identify the victim and elucidate the circumstances of the crime.

One week was enough for them to elucidate the ins and outs of this case by arresting three people aged between 40 and 46. Then, the crime that cost the life of this young man was reconstructed in the presence of the representative of the public prosecutor's office and the local authority. The three suspects allegedly involved in this crime, which was reportedly committed for reasons still unknown, were placed in police custody to deepen the investigation into the circumstances of this murder, and will be referred to the Agadir Court of Appeal.

Guelmim, known for its tranquillity and the safety of its neighbourhoods, has recently made headlines due to horrific crimes that have shaken it. Thus, in the month of March, the body of a 26-year-old young man was found near the industrial district of Guelmim, with traces of blows and wounds on the head. Investigations conducted by the judicial police led to the arrest of a girl with whom the victim was in a romantic relationship, as well as three young accomplices. The motive for this crime is revenge.

The victim reportedly wanted to break up with his girlfriend to marry another.

While in the month of January, a 39-year-old teacher was fatally wounded with a bladed weapon by his colleague from Sidi Ifni at the Houmane El Ftouaki school. The suspect was arrested at the scene of the crime by the judicial police. Added to this is the arrest of a gang of criminals composed of six individuals, which mainly targeted commercial premises.
