Marketing at university for a better managerial culture in business

From 24 February to 3 March, the city of Guelmim is hosting the 9th edition of the International Marketing Days with the participation of 40 countries. It will be marked by the presence of prominent figures representing the business, press, and political worlds to enrich the debate.

Organised by the Cadi Ayyad Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences of Marrakech, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries and the Chamber of Agriculture of the Guelmim-Smara region, this edition is being held under the theme "Local products and regional development of the Moroccan Southern provinces: current status and perspectives".

This edition aims to demonstrate that mastering the use of marketing techniques in university education, combined with in-depth pedagogical reflection, allows for the dissemination of knowledge and skills, and the amplification of the influence of managerial culture in business, both in terms of surveys and processing, as well as in analyses and recommendations.

Thus, this scientific and cultural event will see the participation of 7 Moroccan universities and more than 52 marketing professors, including 42 foreign professors. More than 298 students, including 152 foreigners, will be mobilised and supervised by their professors.

"It is an opportunity to reflect on and discuss sector-specific issues with specialists and professionals, to share knowledge, and to submit new avenues of work related to these issues. It constitutes an opportunity for students and non-marketers to develop their knowledge in different sectors of activity related to this discipline," highlights a statement from the organisers.

They added that the expected objectives of organising this event are: firstly, to allow more than 300 students to organise and host cultural and scientific days on a subject that is part of their compulsory curriculum through specific committees (relations with professionals, relations with sponsors, media relations, workshops, communication materials, logistics); secondly, to allow the 70 selected students to facilitate the various sessions; and thirdly, to enhance the image of students among partners in the socio-economic environment.
