These projects are in line with the Sovereign's efforts for the consecration of the proximity policy, the consolidation of social action projects, the promotion of global and sustainable human development, and the strengthening of basic infrastructure.
HM the King thus launched the construction work of a multidisciplinary complex for people with specific needs in the city of Fquih Ben Saleh (3.1 million dirhams), and inaugurated a local socio-sports centre (2.4 MDH) in the same city, and a multifunctional social complex (7.3 MDH) in the city of Souk Sebt Ouled Nemma. Translating the Sovereign's permanent desire to ensure equal opportunities for all, particularly for people with disabilities, the multidisciplinary complex for people with specific needs, which will be realised within the framework of the INDH, will allow the city of Fquih Ben Saleh to have a suitable space for socio-educational and medical supervision of people with physical or mental deficiencies. With a total area of 414 m², the future complex should also contribute to the development of the target people's skills capable of promoting their socio-professional insertion. It will be built within 12 months and will include classrooms, a computer room, training workshops, and an infirmary. The local socio-sports centre aims, for its part, to fight against social exclusion in urban areas, to allow residents, children, and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to benefit from a framework appropriate to their sports activities. This new structure (3,717 m²), realised within the framework of a partnership between the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the urban commune of Fquih Ben Saleh, and the provincial council, includes three mini-football pitches with synthetic turf, a space dedicated to the practice of pétanque, and changing rooms.
Ten other local socio-sports centres have been realised at the level of the various communes of the province (Ahl Lamrabaâ, Bni Oukil, Bni Chegdal, El Berradia, El Khalfia "Oulad Abdellah", El Khalfia "Oulad Hassoun", Lakrifat, Sidi Issa Ben Ali, Ouled Zemam, Dar Ould Zidouh), while two other centres, realised in the communes of Ouled Nasser and Had Boumoussa, are in the process of completion.
Regarding the multifunctional social complex of the city of Souk Sebt Ouled Nemma, it was realised within the framework of the INDH. It aims to strengthen local facilities in the commune, the socio-professional integration of young people and women, the promotion of cultural and artistic activities, and the consolidation of associative action. The complex is equipped with listening and orientation rooms, exhibition of local association products, computer, sports, children's play, music, meeting rooms, cutting-sewing, embroidery, hairdressing-aesthetics, and ceramics workshops, as well as a projection room.
Furthermore, the province of Fquih Ben Saleh saw, for the 2011-2013 period, the realisation of 213 INDH projects, for a total investment of 84.56 million dirhams. The INDH contributed 69 million DH. Benefiting more than 104,400 people, these projects are part of the three INDH programmes, namely the programme to fight against social exclusion in urban areas, the programme to fight against precariousness, and the transversal programme. HM the King, on this occasion, proceeded to the symbolic handing over of the keys of 10 school transport minibuses to the presidents of local associations. Seven minibuses were acquired by the OCP group for a total cost of 1.9 MDH, while three were financed by the INDH (1.2 MDH). The Sovereign also handed over 600 bicycles, acquired by the OCP for a total envelope of 420,000 DH, to the presidents of parents' associations of pupils from rural areas. This initiative is part of the efforts aimed at fighting against the phenomenon of school dropout, improving the schooling conditions of pupils from rural areas who are in a precarious situation. HM the King also proceeded to the symbolic handing over of the keys of a sports transport bus and an ambulance, acquired within the framework of the INDH for an amount of 960,000 DH, to the president of the provincial association of social works, as well as those of a sports transport coach (2.18 MDH), financed by the INDH, the beneficiary club, and the social works association of the commune of Souk Sebt, to the president of the Amal Souk Sebt football club.
