Essaouira, a top-tier tourist destination

Essaouira-Mogador reached a historic threshold in 2024 by attracting more than one million tourists, stated Mr. Redwane Khanne, President of the Provincial Tourism Council (CPT). This record figure is accompanied by more than 3 million overnight stays recorded in classified establishments, according to a statement outlining the annual results of the City of Trade Winds.
According to the CPT, these remarkable results only represent the performance of classified establishments, as one must add the significant flow from informal rentals and homestays (Airbnb), which play a significant role in the Souiri tourism economy.
