During the second evening of the festival, which was attended by the Advisor to His Majesty the King and founding President of the Essaouira-Mogador Association, along with other Moroccan and foreign dignitaries, fans of this musical genre enjoyed two delightful concerts performed brilliantly by exceptional talents from Morocco and abroad.
The evening began with the "Jazz In" performance presented by the Moroccan Abdel Wahab on piano, the Spaniard Luis Salto on violin, and the Burkinabe Robin des Bois on drums, where they skillfully blended jazz rhythms, Andalusian melodies, and modern tones, creating a unique and immersive musical experience.
Thanks to their precise mastery of their instruments, the musicians were able to create a perfect harmony between traditional African sounds and modern jazz nuances, transporting the audience into a captivating and vibrant world.
The audience also enjoyed a dazzling performance by the trio consisting of Nguyen Le (guitar), Mieko Miyazaki (koto), and Prahbhu Edouard, which allowed music lovers to enjoy a sophisticated blend of contemporary jazz and Asian traditions.
This evening concluded with local and foreign artists and amateurs taking the stage for the "Midnight Jam Sessions," providing a moment of spontaneous improvisation where talents mingled to enchant the audience with a unique musical moment, reflecting the unique image of the City of the Wind.
The eighth edition of the "Jazz under the Argan Tree" festival, organized by the Essaouira-Mogador Association, reinforces the status of the City of the Wind as a cultural crossroads and a living laboratory for artistic creation where heritage is renewed for a better dialogue with the future.
