Essaouira promotes breastfeeding

The provincial delegation of the Ministry of Health in Essaouira organised, from the 23rd to the 29th, an awareness campaign as part of the fourth edition of the National Week for the Promotion of Breastfeeding, placed under the theme "Breastfeeding: everyone concerned". This campaign, initiated in partnership with National Mutual Aid, Youth and Sports, and Habous and Islamic Affairs, aimed in particular to raise awareness among mothers and their entourage about the importance of early breastfeeding within the half-hour following childbirth, and to encourage health professionals to mobilise to remind the population of the interest of breastfeeding and its positive impact on maternal and child health throughout the life cycle.
