The mobile road safety caravan makes a stop in Errachidia

The 2016 itinerant road safety caravan, organised on the occasion of the National Road Safety Day which coincides with 18 February of each year, recently made a stop in Errachidia.

The caravan's stop in Errachidia was marked notably by the signing of a series of conventions between the CNPAC and local actors, the launch of the visibility operation by the distribution of retro-reflective strips for the benefit of heavy goods vehicles, the presentation of the best school projects winning the road safety competitions, the organisation of a blood donation operation, and the distribution of retro-reflective accessories to students, reports the MAP.

This event, included in the framework of the "Road Safety Generation" programme initiated by the CNPAC for the benefit of future generations, aims to raise awareness of the importance of infrastructure to guarantee the safety of schoolchildren around school establishments.

Note that several infrastructure projects are underway in the province, notably the widening of roads, the installation of pedestrian and cyclist crossings, as well as engineering structures that will be carried out as part of the strengthening of road safety.

The permanent secretary of the Committee (CNPAC), Benaceur Boulaajoul, noted that this establishment works to positively impact the behaviour of road users and sets itself the objective of exploring new perspectives in terms of communication, awareness, and road education.

As an establishment in charge of promoting the government's policy on safety, the CNPAC organises annual road safety caravans, said Mr. Boulaajoul, noting that the diversity of these projects will make it possible to measure progress and added value in terms of road accident prevention, infrastructure improvement, and awareness on this subject.
