The financial institution Tamwilcom has inaugurated a new business centre in Errachidia, with the aim of strengthening its regional presence. With this opening, the total number of the institution's business centres now reaches ten across the Kingdom.
The inauguration of this new regional structure illustrates Tamwilcom's desire to play a local role in the service of the local economy. The ceremony brought together representatives of local authorities, the Regional Council, the Regional Investment Centre (CRI), the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), as well as numerous financial and institutional actors in the region.
During his speech, Hicham Zanati Serghini, Director General of Tamwilcom, recalled that the institution is part of the dynamic of advanced regionalisation initiated since 2010, in accordance with the High Royal Orientations. He added that the opening of the centre in Errachidia is part of the institution's proximity policy, aimed at supporting the regional economy, encouraging investment and facilitating access to business financing through innovative, effective and tailored solutions adapted to the needs of businesses.
Zanati Serghini also mentioned the economic specificities of the Drâa-Tafilalet region, particularly in the sectors of renewable energy, the film industry, natural heritage, as well as tourism and cultural assets. He expressed Tamwilcom's desire to collaborate with local actors to promote sustainable development.
For his part, Rachidi Hassani, Vice-President of the Drâa-Tafilalet Regional Council, stressed that the opening of this business centre will contribute to the socio-economic development of the region. He also highlighted the region's significant human and natural resources, calling for them to be exploited to stimulate investment and create jobs. He advocated for better economic attractiveness, the creation of industrial and artisanal economic zones, the granting of tax incentives for investors, as well as the improvement of air services to the region.
Badr Bejioui, Head of the Investor Support Division at the Drâa-Tafilalet CRI, added that the Tamwilcom business centre in Errachidia will offer emerging companies better opportunities to access financing adapted to their needs. He specified that the CRI is collaborating fully with Tamwilcom to support investors in the development of their projects.
On the sidelines of the inauguration, Tamwilcom organised a meeting to discuss the specificities of the region, the financing needs of businesses, as well as to present its product offering and the guarantee and financing mechanisms available to support SME projects.
