The government approved, on Thursday, two prominent appointments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the context of the new restructuring of this ministry, which was established by its minister, Nasser Bourita, last November.
The first of these appointments is the placement of Abdellah Benmellouk in the position of Director General of Economic Diplomacy and Cultural Development; this directorate/hub was among the updates made to the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Benmellouk was the Director of Multilateral Cooperation and International Economic Affairs, but he only spent about a year in his position, as he was appointed on 21 September 2021, before being promoted to Director General.
