During the final hours of 2024, a series of incidents occurred, mostly due to extreme intoxication and public disorder. However, these scattered incidents in the city centre and other main thoroughfares were addressed by security officers who were on high alert, thanks to their field presence and immediate intervention at the right time. Many individuals were detained for being in an abnormal state after causing chaos in the public street through disgraceful behaviour, while others refused to comply with security officers after being stopped and attempted to cause trouble.
