The inauguration ceremony of this multidisciplinary health establishment took place in the presence of, among others, the Wali of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, Governor of the Oued Eddahab province, Ali Khalil, the Chairman and CEO of Akdital, Rochdi Talib, elected officials, representatives of local authorities, as well as other personalities from various backgrounds.
Endowed with a budget of around 269 million dirhams, the Dakhla International Clinic, as a multidisciplinary care establishment covering a wide range of medical and surgical specialties, provides the inhabitants of the region with state-of-the-art equipment intended for the treatment of all pathologies, from the simplest to the most complex.
In a statement to the press, Mr. Talib indicated that the Dakhla International Clinic will make it possible to cover all specialties regardless of their complexity, including cancerous diseases and cardiovascular diseases, among others.
“It is a first in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region. This important health infrastructure will allow patients, particularly those with cancer requiring long-term treatment, to receive care on-site, without the trouble of travelling to distant cities and spending additional costs”, he noted.
Mr. Talib noted that this new structure, aimed at bringing healthcare closer to the population of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, will allow visitors to benefit from the most advanced medical services with 24/7 availability allowing emergency interventions at any time.
For his part, the Vice-President of the AKDITAL Group, Jaouad Zakaria, stressed that this latest-generation health establishment strengthens the region's health offer and supports efforts aimed at upgrading the health system at the national level.
“The Dakhla International Clinic has an emergency and intensive care department, a complete radiology centre and a medical analysis laboratory”, he specified, stressing the importance of these three services in terms of accelerating the diagnosis of diseases and patient care.
Established according to the most demanding standards in terms of international hospital hygiene and oriented towards the optimisation of the patient journey, the Dakhla International Clinic is equipped with an intensive care unit equipped with 28 beds, as well as a resuscitation centre including 11 boxes dedicated to general and cardiovascular resuscitation, as well as 7 incubators intended for neonatal resuscitation.
This new infrastructure, which has enabled the creation of 156 direct jobs, has an interventional cardiology unit, equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, facilitating the treatment of cardiovascular and neurovascular conditions. This service includes a catheterisation room, as well as a room reserved for stress tests.
The clinic also houses a complete radiology centre, including an MRI, a scanner, standard radiography equipment, as well as an ultrasound and a mammography. These facilities are designed to optimise the patient journey and accelerate the diagnosis and care processes for patients.
Furthermore, the clinic has 113 hospitalisation beds and 8 ultra-modern operating theatres, which are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a technical delivery unit and endoscopy rooms, thus ensuring quality care and an optimal experience for patients.
This latest-generation infrastructure also houses a mother-child centre, including 14 beds and a nursery.
This health establishment also distinguishes itself by its integrated oncology centre, dedicated to the diagnostic and therapeutic management of cancers. This centre includes a chemotherapy day hospital, with 19 chemotherapy chairs, as well as a radiotherapy unit equipped with a latest-generation accelerator guaranteeing the quality and safety of care, and a dosimetric scanner.
The Dakhla International Clinic, designed with a perspective of excellence in care, offers an innovative health pathway with individualised support. The management of patients' medical data is completely digitised and centralised, allowing instant and secure access, thus reinforcing the effectiveness of the care provided by this establishment.
It houses a medical analysis laboratory equipped with latest-generation equipment allowing various tests and examinations to be carried out, ranging from routine blood tests to specialised tests in biochemistry, haematology, microbiology and immunology.
