"Female participation as a fundamental mechanism for the implementation of the Constitution", is the theme of a regional colloquium organised, Saturday in Dakhla, on the occasion of the celebration of International Women's Day.
Initiated by the regional coordination of the Social Development Agency (ADS) of the Oued Eddahab-Lagouira region, in partnership with the two regional commissions of Oued Eddahab and Aousserd and the Ministry of Solidarity, Women, Family, and Social Development, this two-day meeting is intended to be a space for exchanges and debate around questions relating to the role of women in society, their rights and achievements, and their effective participation in the implementation of the Constitution.
The various speakers during this meeting, which is part of the implementation of the "Takwiya" programme, emphasised the role of civil society and political parties in the consecration and institutionalisation of the principle of parity, recalling for this purpose the proposals formulated by the feminist movement to promote the condition of women which were taken into consideration by the new constitution.
The seminar was also an opportunity to shed light on the condition of women and the consecration of their rights in the light of the new Constitution.
