The proceedings of the 7th regional conference of the national dialogue on justice reform, which took place on Saturday in Dakhla, were held under the theme "governance of justice and the modernisation of judicial administration and court infrastructure".
During this conference, which saw the participation of the Minister of Justice and Liberties and President of the High Authority for the National Dialogue on Justice Reform, Mustapha Ramid, presentations were made on the themes of justice governance, the use of new technologies in judicial administration, and the infrastructure of courts and judicial departments.
Regarding the first axis, the interventions focused essentially on "the foundations of good governance of judicial administration", "the qualification of the administrative structures of the secretariat-registry", and "concepts on administrative and financial deconcentration at the Ministry of Justice and Liberties". Regarding the modernisation of judicial administration, the emphasis was placed on "the involvement of judicial professions" in this project.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr Ramid stressed that "the national dialogue on justice reform aims to integrate all actors at all levels so that they can present their conceptions and suggestions" on the matter.
The theme of this 7th conference is of particular importance as it addresses the aspects of organisation, management, and modernisation, he specified, noting that "the effectiveness of justice necessarily requires modernisation".
Furthermore, the minister recalled the programme of regional conferences that will take place over the next two months, including one to be held in Agadir on 11 and 12 January on "the independence of justice", another scheduled in Settat on 26 January on the theme "family justice", and a third conference that will take place in Tangier on 2 February on "the qualification of business justice", in addition to a conference that will be organised on 15 February on "justice and the media".
These meetings, he specified, will be followed by a conference organised by the High Authority for the National Dialogue on Justice Reform to present the draft conclusions with a view to holding, next March, the proceedings of the National Assizes on Justice Reform, which will be sanctioned by the promulgation of the National Charter on Justice Reform.
